Antique Toaster
Do you fancy an Antique Toaster? Antique means typically made in earlier times and valued for its age. A toaster is considered as an antique if it was produced between year 1850 and 1960. The most famous toaster inventor was Charles Strite, an American. He invented a pop-up toaster in year 1919. The British people also claimed that it was a British who invented the toaster. Actually the ‘bread-toasting’ idea came from the Egyptian in the early eighteenth century. The Egyptians used to bake wheat and found it very delicious. Later on, the idea of baked or toasted bread seemed to spread all over the world. And as the result, a toasting tool was invented, but with no exact record of whom the first toaster inventor was. Basically the function of a toaster is to make a simple bread slice become sweeter, crunchier and certainly tastier.
Commonly, this was how an Antique Toaster worked; the bread slice was put between the arches (not slot, which is available in modern toaster). After one side was toasted brown, the toaster was rotated to toast the other side. Antique Toasters are mostly metal built, with various styles and shapes. Some are electrical toasters with 105-115 volts, some are manual toasters and some use battery as source of power. They are not available in shops. If you really want to buy one, you should search and purchase online. And if you only want to see and observe, you can visit the museum or search online. Although they are antique, they are actually very stylish and colorful. They have different prices. The price can start from 15 USD to hundreds of USD, and sometime depends on the customers’ bids. Some of the toasters are still able to work normally, but some are broken. You may have to fix it before you can use it or you may modify it to make it more interesting.

Toasters are very popular in the modern world. We have many kinds of toasters nowadays. Toaster proves to be a very useful and helpful kitchen tool in serving delicious and instant breakfast. Therefore we all agree that the toaster inventor was a real genius. Toaster itself has through several revolutions from antique to modern style and function. What kind of people who will prefer an antique more than a modern one? Well, there are three basic reasons for someone to prefer an antique more than a modern toaster. First, it will make him feel more superior for having such a rare product. Second, he is the person who cherishes the historical value of a product and does his best to preserve the value. Third, the antique represents the unforgettable memory of someone in the past. However, the Antique Toaster has become the target of collectors all over the world. It must be very valuable.
